Do you know how difficult it is being a liberated woman on social media nowadays? Let me let you in on a secret: it sure isn't easy.

I - like almost everyone on this planet with access to the internet- has an Instagram account. Well, I may or may not be on my fourth account. Sure, you may not have experience with being banned from one of the most popular social networking sites online, but I sure do. And so do a lot of cam girls, sex workers, and generally sexually liberated women. As much as I love Instagram, I grew to loathe it for its outdated censorship policies.

I'm Chrissy Kay, and my love-hate relationship with Instagram inspired me to create my own platform. Confused? Well, allow me to explain.

I'm a millennial. And like most millennials, I was born and brought up online. Sure, I played outside, and I wasn't one of those kids who was handed an iPhone X straight out of the womb, but it would be almost an understatement to say that the internet practically raised me. I did a lot of growing up online and so did most of the people I grew up with. We share so much with the internet, but for some reason, social media likes to draw the line at nipples. Correction, female nipples.

Instagram is one of these social media platforms that likes to try to keep sexual content from leaking onto their user's feeds. And they're starting to do a pretty damn good job at it. I've gotten banned from Insta for my nipples, for my ass, and a little bit of underboob!

As much as I loved Insta with all of my heart, I was over being told what kind of photos I could post. Where was I to go? Tumblr recently banned nudity - both photographs and illustrations - but more specifically "female presenting nipples."

I don't know about you, but for sites that are supposed to celebrate their users sharing their lives on their platforms, they're pretty against freeing the nipple. And I'm not down with that. I wanted a site like Instagram where my nipples wouldn't be banned, slapped with censorship, or be anything other than celebrated!

I wanted to create a platform where similarly sexually liberated women - and the people who love us - could be our full, uncensored selves.

So, instead of admitting defeat, I pressed on like the feminist I am and decided to take matters into my own hands. I was fortunate enough to be in college when I had this idea. So, I decided to enroll in a few programming classes where I figured out the basics and some not-so-basic skills.

A few months later I had the first version of InstaFuck drafted out!

On InstaFuck you don't have to worry about getting shut down by the proverbial man by posting your "female presenting nipples" or anything else that would probably be instantly shot down on Instagram or another prude social media site.
