Ultimate SPDate Review (Read Before You Join)

Visit SPDate

Okay, so you're ready to hop on the online dating train and give it a shot. Whether you're looking for hookups and casual sex, or you want to find your next serious relationship, there's a site that can do it all for you.

Upon your research of what sites you might want to try, you probably came across SPDate; a "smart dating" site that isn't what you think it is.

First Impression

Smart dating.

What exactly does that mean? Well, upon first visit to the site, you wouldn't know until you dive deeper and do some investigating.

But don't worry, we'll do that for you, so you don't have to.

The design of the site matches its claim; it has a sleek, black interface that's easy to navigate.

However, there is not much information about the site on its homepage like some others have. All it lets you know is that you can message, make contacts, and get "new dialogue" for every second contact.

What does that mean?

Well, one important piece of text you have to note in the homepage that's easily missed is under their 'Messages' icon. Here it says that "Everyone gets at least one message per session."

A session usually means that you won't be talking to "real" people, but refers to paid or fake profiles used to message profiles to attract more users.

Yet, the site still claims to have real people, so I signed up for an account to see if that was true.

The first thing you probably want to know about SPDate is whether it's free to use or not. But with this site, I can tell you that it's 100% free to use -- something that can't be said of other sites like this one.

There's no need to enter your card information for "free access" or any upgrade option; you get it all once you sign up for an account.

The only thing you have to do to get the best use out of the site is to verify your account by clicking on the link sent to the email address you signed up with.

Inside the site is much like the outside. It has a simple and clean layout with not many navigation links, keeping it clutter-free.

You can find the navigation bar on the left side of the screen with all the links to everything you need to use the site.

Features

The first features we'll discuss are the ones to customize your profile -- and there's not many.

Really, the only information you could put about yourself, and know about others, is your screen name, age, gender, and location. Besides that, you have the options of writing in what type of work you do and your education experience, tieing into the "smart dating" aspect of the site.

Your home page will show a grid of users the site thinks you will like, and you can message them. But be aware that any profile marked with a "UP" is an AI profile, and stands for "unreal personality."

Other profile markings to remember include "ON," which represents a "real online personality," and "OFF," which is a "real offline personality."

The color of the background where it says what kind of profile they are is also important to note; a red color indicates a lower chance of getting your message answered, and a green color means you have a higher chance of getting answered.

After browsing profiles using the 'Discovery' feature, I came to the conclusion that there's definitely more AI profiles than real ones, sadly.

It seems that their algorithm is also a little messed up, since I kept getting profiles that I had clicked an 'X' on, indicating I wasn't interested.

I will say however that the best thing about SPDate is their messaging feature, and it's unlike any one I've seen on other dating sites.

It's instant, you can chat for free as well as read all your messages, and you can even send stickers!

Additionally, when you message someone, you can add them to your contacts and keep a list of your favorite profiles.

Lastly, you can view TOP profiles by clicking on the tab with the star icon.

Other than that there's really no other features to this site, but I personally think it's better this way.

Pricing

FREE!

As I mentioned already, the site is completely free to use, and you get to use all features, including messaging, for free.

Usually, sites like this will charge you around $35 a month for full access to their site's features, but on SPDate, what you see is what you get, and you get it all at no cost.

Pros

SPDate is one of the more cleaner dating sites I've seen. It's really easy to use and figure out what does what, and the messaging feature is fun and a great part of the site.

Although there's few of them, the real profiles of women on the site are genuinely interested in talking. If you message them, chances are they'll respond.

Cons

All the fake AI profiles.

If you're looking for chicks to hit up, I wouldn't really say this is the best site to use if you're looking for something serious or even hope to meet up with someone in person to hookup.

Conclusions and Rating

SPDate would have great potential if they focused more on building real user engagement instead of using AI profiles to attract users. It's hard to find real users, but once you do, things can go really well, that is, if you're okay with just messaging each other, and maybe even some sexting.

It's not necessarily the best dating site out there, but it can make for some fun if you don't mind talking to AI women.
